HOW IT WORKS

From plans
to a working takeoff.

CrossWing organizes the first pass. Your team reviews the details and takes the result into quoting.

A BETTER DAY OF QUOTING

Less time counting.
More time quoting.

Meet Sam, a window and door rep. See how the day changes when the first pass is handled and the next quote can move forward.

Illustrative story · Timing condensed
01 / UPLOAD

Start with
the plans.

Upload the architectural PDF. CrossWing reads window and door schedules and cross-checks schedule marks against floor plans.

Marks · Types · Quantities · Stated dimensions · Notes
02 / REVIEW

Put your expertise
into the takeoff.

Check the drawing and table together. Correct the details, resolve open questions, and verify each line before quoting.

Your decisions stay with the job.
03 / EXPORT

Move it into
your process.

Choose PDF, Excel, or CSV. Your team handles product selection, pricing, and the transfer into your quoting tools.

Keep your manufacturers and quoting software.

LEARNING FROM YOUR TEAM

Every reviewed job
adds experience.

CrossWing captures corrections and verified details as your reps review openings. With learning enabled, relevant examples from that history can inform future extractions for the same dealer.

That gives the system context from the architects, layouts, and jobs your team encounters. It supports the next first pass while your rep continues to check and approve the result.

Learning depends on your account’s settings and the feedback available. It does not guarantee a particular accuracy level or improvement on every job.

WHEN THE PLANS CHANGE

Keep the next revision
with the same job.

Upload the revised set to the existing project. Review and verify the new takeoff before exporting. Earlier versions stay with the job, and same-project revisions are included.

THE PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Know what you’re
putting to work.

What if the plans have no schedules?

Confirm the drawing scale, then measure and add openings manually. These plans require more hands-on work than a set with clear schedules.

What does our rep still need to check?

Review every line against the drawings. Confirm quantities, dimension conventions, assemblies, specifications, and supplier requirements. Rough-opening conversions, mulled-unit reconciliation, and door handing need rep confirmation.

What should we know about project data?

The trial request form collects contact information, not plans. Before uploading confidential drawings in the product, request the current terms for project access, storage, deletion, and the use of data or corrections.
